Symbols Help is a free reference site for the symbols people need in everyday writing. Check marks, arrows, bullets, math signs, currency signs and more. Each page shows the symbol, lets you copy it in one click, and explains how to type it on Windows, Mac, phones, Word and Google Docs.
Who runs Symbols Help
Symbols Help is written and run by Muhammad Ilyas, a professional content writer and web publisher based in Pakistan.
I started this site for a simple reason. Finding one symbol, like a check mark for a document, often means digging through cluttered pages. I wanted one clean place that gives you the symbol and the exact steps to type it.
How I check the information
- Every symbol and code on this site is checked against the official Unicode Standard.
- Keyboard steps are checked against the official help pages from Microsoft, Apple and Google.
- Pages are updated when a device or app changes how a symbol is typed.
- If you spot a mistake, tell me and I will fix it.
What you can expect
- Free tools. No sign-up and no payment.
- Your text stays with you. The tools run in your browser. What you type is not sent to this site.
- Plain language. Short steps, real examples, no jargon.
Independent site
Symbols Help is an independent website. It is not affiliated with Microsoft, Apple, Google or the Unicode Consortium.
